Erase the Effects of Time
Everyone eventually succumbs to gravity’s wrath and the effects of outwardly expressing emotions. From crow’s feet and crepey skin to sunken under-eye areas and marionette lines, the woes of the world tend to be most noticeable from the neck up. Though you can easily cover telltale signs of time emerging through your scalp with a bottle of dye and a few minutes of spare time, makeup doesn’t offer quite the same coverage for facial anomalies. A variety of Medspa Treatments are available for cosmetic concerns that cannot be addressed with over-the-counter products.
For those of you who have noticed over-the-counter anti-aging creams don’t exactly live up to their claims but aren’t ready to go under the knife just yet, a vast middle ground is readily available. You’ll find Medspa Treatments exist for virtually every concern. These alternatives vary widely in price, results, and endurance, but each has its own set of advantages.
Perhaps the most well-known of these cosmetic correctors is Botox. Derived from a bacteria known as Clostridium botulinum, Botox is a neurotoxin. Once injected, it temporarily paralyzes targeted muscles. Since those muscles are then unable to move, fine lines and wrinkles stemming from their habitual contractions are smoothed and visibly reduced. Results usually become noticeable within 24 to 72 hours, and they’ll last anywhere from three to six months.
Hyaluronic acid-based dermal fillers like Juvederm and Restylane soften the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles using a different approach. Rather than paralyze muscles, these options reduce indentations in the skin in the same way naturally produced hyaluronic acid would. Since they build up the middle layer of skin, they can be used to minimize sunken under-eye areas, plump thin lips, and decrease the appearance of scars in addition to treating wrinkles.
Radiesse is a different type of treatment for visible signs of aging. A water-based gel infused with calcium crystals, it’s injected into the skin to bring about a dual-faceted reaction. It immediately reduces certain fine lines and deeper wrinkles, but from a long-term perspective, it triggers your body’s natural production of collagen to generate more lasting effects.
Each of these injectables has particular strengths and weaknesses, and not all are right for every cosmetic issue. They may also be used in combination with one another for heightened anti-aging benefits. Either way, they’re a more effective option than department store creams, gels, and serums and far less invasive and costly than cosmetic surgery.
